It Started With a Simple Thought…
After more than 10 years in the travel industry, leading trips all over Africa, one thing became clear: most people weren’t really experiencing Africa.
They were seeing it—but not feeling it.
Checking off destinations—but missing the stories.
There had to be another way. A way to travel deeper, connect more, and truly experience Africa as it’s meant to be.
And so, in Togo, Mowoki was born.
More Than a Travel Company—A Movement
Mowoki means “I am going” in Kabye. But it’s not just about movement—it’s about how you go, where you go, and what you take with you.
We started small, curating authentic trips for people who wanted more than just sightseeing. They wanted to dance at local festivals, share meals with families, hear stories from village elders, and walk paths shaped by centuries of history.
And guess what? Word spread.
From Togo to Benin, Ghana to Senegal, Guinea-Bissau to Côte d’Ivoire—Mowoki kept growing.
Africa, Like You’ve Never Experienced Before
Think about this for a second…
✨ Gliding through a floating village at sunset, watching life unfold on the water.
✨ Standing before the Door of No Return, feeling the weight of history—and the power of homecoming.
✨ Sitting around a fire, listening to a griot tell stories passed down for generations.
✨ Witnessing a voodoo ceremony where ancient traditions are still alive and thriving.
This isn’t a tour.
This is travel that changes you.
We Travel With Purpose
For us, travel isn’t just about where you go—it’s about who benefits from it.
That’s why we created the Mowoki Foundation, supporting:
✅ Sustainable tourism that actually helps local communities.
✅ Diaspora connections—because coming back home should mean something.
✅ Research & innovation to make travel in Africa better, more meaningful, and more responsible.
Because Africa isn’t just a place. It’s home. And home deserves respect.
So, Are You Coming?
Mowoki is more than a travel company. It’s a movement. A new way of exploring Africa.
We’re going. Are you?
Mowoki!
